Abstract

The study aimed to exposing the degree of value engineering in Saudi universities from the point of view of academic leaders, reveal the extent to which there are statically differences among the average responses of the study sample’ individuals due to the difference of: gender, job title, university, years of experience. The study used the descriptive survey method, the data was collected using a questionnaire that was applied to a sample of (225) academic in three Saudi universities, which are: Northern Border University, Tabuk University, and University of Hafr Al-Batin.  The field study also reached the following results: Saudi universities apply value engineering to a moderate degree. There are no statistically significant differences between the average responses of the study sample in the level of application of value engineering in Saudi universities due to the differences in: gender, university, while there were differences attributed to the difference in the position in favor of university vice-rectors, and differences attributed to the difference in academic rank in favor of professors, and differences attributed to the difference of years of work for those with experience of 6 years of more.
