The Impact of Smart Government Strategies on Achieving Sustainable Development Goals: A Field Study on the Employees of the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah in Makkah City

Abstract
This study aims to reveal the impact of smart government strategies dimensions (Smart Communication, Smart Management, Smart Services) on achieving sustainable development. The researchers used an analytical descriptive method and relied on a questionnaire as a main tool for data collection. Using a systematic random sampling technique during the Hajj of 1444 in Makkah city, (323) employees at the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah participated. The results of the study indicated that the reality of the practice of smart government strategies in the ministry is very high, and the practice of sustainable development is considered high, and there is a statistically significant impact of smart government strategies on the achievement of sustainable development in the ministry with a correlation factor of (0.992). In this light, the study made several recommendations, most notably promoting the concepts of smart government and sustainable development and establishing an organizational culture that supports the relationship between the two variables.
