Abstract

People's cognitive capacities, such as opinions, thoughts, instincts, conceptions, and understanding and abilities established from individual perspectives, are all examples of tacit knowledge. This study aimed to look into Information and communication technologies (ICT) based techniques for tacit knowledge management. This study tried to answer one central question: how can technological solutions effectively utilize tacit knowledge? The researcher employed a descriptive design in this quantitative study to explore energy industry employees' opinions to understand the issue under investigation better. A questionnaire was used to gather information. The study sample comprised managers, engineers, and technicians in the energy sector in Saudi Arabia. Most respondents said ICT-based techniques were excellent and helped them make better decisions. Many of those who took part in the study stated it helped them become more productive. Also, the majority of respondents believe it improves group work. The majority thought it could enhance their product and services.
