The Saudi high school students’ Reliance on IEN Educational TV Channels During Corona Covid 19 Pandemic

Abstract
purpose of this research is to ascertain how much Saudi high school students benefited from Ain Educational Channels during the coronavirus outbreak and how dependent they were on them. Additionally, the study investigates the behavioral, emotional, and cognitive consequences of this dependency. A random sample of 355 male high school students from diverse educational and demographic backgrounds in the city of Mecca were used for the study. According to the findings of the research, most participants watched Ain Educational Channels in various amounts. It also demonstrated that the programs respondents were most interested in viewing were educational lesson programs, followed by educational documentaries and educational entertainment programs. As for the instructional methods used, the respondents agreed on their effectiveness and on the quality of programs presented. They also complimented the clarity of the sound noting that it made it easier for them to listen to and comprehend the material. Furthermore, reiterating key topics in classes helped with understanding and comprehension, and the use of visuals and graphics enhanced the quality of material delivered. Respondents that watched Ain Educational Channels throughout the pandemic were able to learn and observe explanations for certain subjects, and it also put them in a unique educational environment even though they were not attending schools. The findings also demonstrated that the respondents' exposure to Ain Educational Channels had the greatest effects on their cognitive, emotional, and behavioral functioning. These effects were primarily reflected in the cognitive dimension, which was followed by the emotional and behavioral dimensions. The study also suggested that teachers focus on remedial measures to improve the interaction between them and their students when solving assignments, and that they should make sure that their tone of voice during explanations is balanced and leans toward simplicity to help the students better understand the material.
