Abstract
This study focuses on the analysis of modern poetry according to cultural patterns associated with cultural criticism, which seeks to read literary discourse in-depth to reveal its implicit meanings and subtextual connotations behind the apparent aesthetic meanings. Based on this critical perspective, the choice of the collection "Kha'inat Ashabah" by the poet Al-Salhabi was made, due to the rich subtextual connotations behind the aesthetic meanings that the recipient draws upon and is stimulated by to delve into their depths. The implicit pattern appearing in the poet’s blog was greatly inspired by the dominance of the ego and the various cultural connotations it carries across the two styles of poetry and death, as these two styles represent a great influence that shaped the poetic experience in the collection and was filled with multiple stylistic loads that were based in their entirety on the conflict between the dualities of death and life, and what branching out from them are systems that stand behind the aesthetics of texts. The significance of this study lies in providing a cultural analysis of the work of a Saudi poet by delving into the depths of the text and its connection to diverse cultural fields with their patterns and contexts.
