Abstract

The current research aims to trace the aesthetics of wisdom and its connotations change in light of inductive analytical reading and attempt to determine the objective of wisdom for an intellectual and artistic phenomenon, since it represents one of the purposes of Arabic poetry whose connotations have varied, taking on more than one meaning that is interpreted by the poet’s situation according to a specific event.

The study includes an introduction, which is a biography of the poet’s life and poetry, a study of the concept of wisdom and its relationship to poetry, and three topics: the first is the sources of wisdom and its manifestations in Al-Tuhamy’s poetry, the second is the patterns of wisdom in his poetry, and the third is the wisdom's attributes and characteristics.
