The aim of this research is to reveal the state of the Jabali Shehri language in Oman in terms of survival and extinction. And know the impact of linguistic pluralism in Oman on the Jabali Shehri language, and try to answer the research questions represented in the following: What is the state of the Jabali Shehri language in Oman, what is the impact of linguistic pluralism on it, and what is the status of the Jabali Shehri language in terms of survival and extinction according to the standards set by UNESCO to measure the life and vitality of the language? The research described the situation of the Jabali Shehri language in Oman, and explained the multilingualism that surrounds it, which may pose a threat to it, and may be the cause of its extinction. Then it presented the causes of the extinction of languages, and the factors mentioned by UNESCO to evaluate the state of the language, its vitality, and its life, and tried to apply them to the Shehri language. Al-Jabaliyah, and the research concluded that the Shehri language may be at risk based on the data at hand in the research. The researcher saw the importance of supporting this study with field studies that explore the views of the mountainous Shehri community about their language. The researcher recommended a number of recommendations, the most important of which are: establishing a research center concerned with this linguistic diversity, working to remedy these languages before they become extinct with the death of those who know them, and studying inscriptions in the Arabian Peninsula. Preserving it, spreading awareness of its importance, linking it to the southern languages and classical Arabic, comparing them, and benefiting from them in doing so.
