Abstract

Breeding patience through the story of Yusuf (peace be upon him)

Abstract.I relied on the inductive and deductive method in this research by reading the verses of the story of Yusuf - peace be upon him - to extract the verses that talk about education on patience and then arrange them to find out what is related to placing the verses in their respective sectio.

The research included introducing the Surah Yusuf, explaining the concept of patience, explaining its divisions, its virtue and status, mentioning the places where patience is mentioned in the story of Yusuf, and explaining the concept of Islamic education.

It included the discussion of Joseph's patience with the envy of his brothers, his being thrown into the pit, his patience with his slavery, leaving his father, and its impact on human self-control.

His patience with the wooing of the dear woman and the scheming of the women in the city, and its impact on controlling the sexual instincts of young men and girls, his patience with the ordeal of imprisonment, and its impact on the call to God, his patience in taking over the reins of government, and its impact in helping and managing the success of the king and overcoming crises, his patience when meeting his brothers; his impact in forgiving and forgiving when able, his patience when his vision was realized, and its impact in humility and self-digestion from triumph.
