Abstract

The current research addresses the impact of using artificial intelligence programs on the academic performance of female students at King Abdulaziz University, specifically in the College of Social Sciences. It also addresses the problem of understanding how AI software integration affects student learning outcomes, motivation, and engagement. The research is based on social learning theory, which posits that people learn from each other through observation, imitation, and modeling. Theory suggests that AI tools, by providing immediate feedback and reinforcement, can significantly impact student learning behaviors and outcomes. The study uses a descriptive analytical methodology based on collecting and analyzing quantitative data. A sample of 200 female students was selected from various departments of the College of Social Sciences. Data were collected using a structured questionnaire administered electronically through the college website. The questionnaire assessed the frequency of use of AI tools, types of AI programs used, perceptions of their effectiveness, and their impact on academic performance. The most important findings indicate that a significant portion of students use AI tools frequently, with many reporting that these tools have significantly improved the quality of research and writing, time management, and overall understanding of complex topics. Statistical analyzes also revealed significant differences in the perceived effectiveness and impact of AI tools across different academic departments. Furthermore, a strong relationship has been found between the use of AI tools and improved academic performance, suggesting that these technologies can be a valuable asset in enhancing educational outcomes.
