Abstract

This research project aimed to find out the effectiveness of parents nominating their gifted children in primary schools according to gender differences. The mixed study included the scale of efficiency of parents' nomination for their gifted child in primary schools and semi-structured interviews on a sample consisting of (41) parents of gifted students in the primary stage in the quantitative study and (34) Male and female members participated in the qualitative study. Data were analyzed using the SPSS statistical analysis program by using mean and Pearson correlation coefficient. Qualitative data were analyzed and results were coded using content analysis. The quantitative results showed that there was no statistically significant relationship between the parents' nomination and the gender variable, and the qualitative results showed multiple levels of parental interest in their children's nomination. Based on the results, several recommendations were made, including the need to raise awareness among parents of the importance of nominating their gifted children.
