Abstract
This Research addresses the areas of social control as outlined in the Quran and Sunnah. It begins by defining social control and highlighting its significance, followed by an exploration of the specific areas of social control, methods of strengthening the same, and its implications. The Research found that: 1- Voluntary community control is a powerful tool for societal advancement, embodying the principles of cooperation, solidarity, and cohesion as emphasized in Islamic law.
2- Intellectual security and sound belief are religious requirement and essential for every individual in society. Moderate, sound thinking, free from extremism, fanaticism, and various ideological deviations, is the foundation of societal progress and development. This is encouraged by Islam, namely adherence to a moderate approach that avoids deviant thought that contradicts Islamic beliefs, such as disobeying the ruler, neglecting him, or religious extremism.
3- Adherence to values and ethics is one of the most important factors in societal progress and development. It is through these values that the common good is achieved. Individuals play a crucial role in uplifting their communities by upholding societal values and reporting any violations that could harm their nation and community, such as tribal mentality, begging, and environmental damage.
4- Strengthening social control among individuals is of paramount importance. Key strategies for strengthening social control include: fostering community values and ethics, developing individual self-control, promoting national identity, encouraging community participation, and engaging in voluntary work.
5- The implementation of voluntary community control has profound impacts that benefit both individuals and society. The role of citizens in maintaining the stability of their homeland is no less significant than that of regulatory institutions and security agencies.
The Research recommendations are: 1- Raising awareness about the importance of social control through government and private authorities. 2- Developing studies on the efforts of religious institutions in clarifying the role of citizens in community development and progress through religious sermons, seminars, etc.
